s a new small business owner and maker it has been a pretty amazing journey to rub shoulders with some awesome local makers and artists on the Cape. This community is a thriving group of talented people who live, create, and sustain the local economy.
s a new small business owner and maker it has been a pretty amazing journey to rub shoulders with some awesome local makers and artists on the Cape. This community is a thriving group of talented people who live, create, and sustain the local economy. On July 30th, I was able to participate as a vendor in my first craft fair at the Love Local Fest in Hyannis. After seven months of sewing bags, creating marketing signs and banners, and designing my table display I'm happy to say that it was a success. It was so much fun to participate and engage with the local community and many tourists. A special thanks to my family who helped me setup/breakdown, new customers who purchased bags, and for friends who stopped by to visit during the day.
For the rest of the 2023 year, here are the upcoming fairs that I will be at.
1) September 16th - Cape Cod Canal Day, 11 am to 6 pm, Buzzards Bay Park
2) September 30th - Oktoberfest, 10 am to 4 pm, Village Green in Mashpee Commons (pending)
3) October 7th - Sandwichfest, 10 am to 4 pm, Hoxie House Sandwich MA
4) December 2nd - Love Local Fest, 10 am to 4 pm, 367 Main Street Hyannis
All of these events are family friendly and will have great food, live music, kids activities, and a lot of local vendors selling their handcrafted goods. I hope to see you at one of these events this year.
